The Administration for Children and Families (ACF) published the AFCARS Final Rule, also known as AFCARS 2020, on May 12, 2020.  For Ohio to accurately report the improved AFCARS 2020 data, changes will be implemented in SACWIS.  Users will start to see these changes starting with the 4.19 SACWIS build and will continue to see changes through November of this year. Please check back here on the SACWIS Knowledge Base for additional updates as they are made available.

If you would like to learn more about the AFCARS 2020 changes, the ACF offers a host of information that can be found in the following locations:

Federal Register :: Adoption and Foster Care Analysis and Reporting System

AFCARS Final Rule Webinars and Training Materials | The Administration for Children and Families (hhs.gov)
