Question:  If a child returns to the Title IV-E agency's temporary custody, for any reason, is the Title IV-E agency able to claim for FCM in addition to the family continuing to receive the AA benefits?

 

 

Answer:  The IV-E program does not prohibit payment of a title IV-E adoption assistance payment that is made concurrently with the title IV-E foster care maintenance payment, as long as the child is eligible for both programs.
