Attached to this article, please find Policy and Practice Guidance Document (PPGD) #007. This document expands upon House Bill 33 signed by Governor DeWine on January 6^th, 2021, which establishes animal abuse reporting requirements for protective services and social services professionals. This law will become effective April 12, 2021.   We have also attached two additional documents from Ohio Animal Advocates, your staff can use to assist Ohio families.  One provides information for emergency veterinary expenses and the other is a resource guide directory.
