Question: Can I Delete a Person from the Members Tab (Case Members screen)?

 

Question: Can I delete a person from the Members tab or is there something else I should do?

 

 

Answer:  A case member can be deleted, if entered in error.  To delete him / her, on the Members tab (Case Members screen), click the Delete link for that person. 

 

However, a case member cannot be deleted if that person is associated with any work item on the case (case, safety, visitation plan or a placement, custody, or if receiving services), but they can be made inactive. 

 

To inactivate a case member, click the Edit link on the Members tab (Case Members screen).  On the Member Details screen that appears, enter an End DateReason for Deactivation, and click the OK button. This retains the person's period of involvement for historical purposes in the case.
