Child MatchA major challenge across Ohio's child-serving agencies is safely and efficiently finding a placement for youth in need. The Child Match solution will allow custodial agencies to create placement need posts which contain non-identifying information about children in their custody who need placement. In turn, all recommending agencies using the OCAF (Ohio Certification for Agencies and Families) system will receive notification of new placement need posts for review. Recommending agencies will have the ability to communicate with the requestor to get further information or recommend available placement options.
User Guides and videos can be found in this section to support use of this new functionality.
Child Match went live on May 2, 2024.
*Important Notes* 1. Please do not enter identifying information in your Child Match request, including child's name, relative names, specific location, etc. 2. Please do not create multiple Child Match posts for the same youth - all users within OCAF will receive notification of the post, regardless of their location, so there is no need to create additional requests for a desired placement county. |
