Ohio SACWIS Medicaid 101
The Ohio Department of Medicaid (ODM) in collaboration with the Ohio Department of Job and Family Services - Office of Families and Children (ODJFS) conducted the Ohio SACWIS Medicaid 101 training on September 21, 2021. The training covered Medicaid eligibility Ohio Administrative Code for both ODJFS and ODM. The training provided an overview of: •Determining Medicaid Eligibility for Children and Youth •Reconciling Duplicate Medicaid Eligibility and Enrollment •ODM 01958 form •Eligibility Categories in Ohio SACWIS - Foster Care Maintenance •Eligibility Categories in Ohio SACWIS - Adoption Assistance •Eligibility Categories in MITS •Ending Medicaid Benefit Categories in either Ohio SACWIS or Ohio Benefits •Ending Ohio SACWIS Medicaid Benefit Categories Appropriately and Timely •Common SACWIS Medicaid or MCO Span Issues •Resources and Contacts Ohio SACWIS functionality was also discussed.
