Under OAC 5101:2-36-08 "PCSA Requirements for Involving a Third Party in the Assessment/Investigation of a Child Abuse or Neglect Report"…

(H)  Upon acceptance of the request from the lead PCSA, the non-lead PCSA shall complete the assessment/investigation within the timeframes established pursuant to rule 5101:2-36-03 or 5101:2-36-04 of the Administrative Code.

(I)   The involvement of a third party does not relieve the lead PCSA of its responsibility for ensuring assessment/investigation activities, including recording the report disposition, are completed.

In summary, if County A requests that County B complete assessment/investigation activities for a third party intake report, County A will need to enter the disposition of the investigation results in Ohio SACWIS.

Question: How Do I Change an Original Disposition to Reflect New Information?

Question:  We had a referral of sexual abuse that we closed with a disposition of "Indicated." Since closing the case, we have received new information that would allow us to substantiate the allegations. How do we change the original disposition to reflect the new information?

Answer: The new information received should be screened in as a new report. Additionally, an assessment / investigation will need to be completed in order to inform the alleged child victim and alleged perpetrator of the additional information received, and to have documentation to support the different disposition. The original disposition that is supported by the previously conducted assessment / investigation should remain in Ohio SACWIS.
